If you are interested in getting your Michigan Concealed Pistol License, and firearm safety, this class is for you. This class will cover all the necessary information to obtain a CPL and basic firearms safety and handling in a safe and comfortable environment. Classes are 8 hours long and consist of 5 hours of classroom instruction covering ammunition knowledge, the fundamentals of pistol shooting, pistol shooting positions, firearms law, avoiding a criminal attack, and controlling a violent confrontation. The other 3 hours of instruction focus on developing marksmanship fundamentals and live fire on the shooting range.
This class will require using a firearm; if you do not have a firearm or any other necessary equipment (50 rounds of ammunition, safety glasses, and hearing protection) please contact me and I will bring equipment for you to borrow. The class cost is $125 and includes refreshments and a light lunch.
A $25 deposit will be required to reserve a seat in the class.
This CPL course material is through Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO), a non-profit, non-partisan organization. Students also get a one year membership to MCRGO free of charge.
